Some very exciting news: I finally got a new job! It's for a place called Municode, they prepare and compile municipal code (laws) for towns and cities all over the US (if you're in the US, there's a good chance your town is one of our customers). I'm a proofreader, which means I read over the supplements after the editors have done their job to check that it's all how it's supposed to be. I just finished my first week, and so far, I'm really enjoying it. A lot of my work is actually done with pencil on paper, which I find kind of nice, since I don't have to stare at a computer screen all day. It does get a little boring, because it's legal stuff, but at the same time, it's still interesting. But everyone's really nice, the dress code is super relaxed so I get to wear basically whatever I want, and the overall vibe is also pretty relaxed.
